We announce the death of Donald Wayne Mayo of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Mayo and Etta Mayo; his sister Barbara McGee; and his wife Myrna Mayo. He is survived by: his children, Jeannie Wilkins (Jay Wilkins), Rev. Steven Mayo (Sandra) and Rev. Roger Mayo (Malisa); his granddaughter Jennifer Collier (Matthew Collier); and his great grandchildren, Walter (Kenzi), Abigail, Ben Collier, Harvey, PeNellope Wilkins, Austin and Alex Boone. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Sparkman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon International in Donald’s memory.
