He is survived by: his wife Nelda Bess (McCann); his children, Janell Hartmann (Doug) and Brian Bess (Kacey); his grandchildren, Taylor Rakes (Trey), Kolby Bess (Jakelyn), Kiley Jean Bess and Bryelle Hartmann (Cory Heitert); his great grandchildren, Baylor Bess and Mila Heitert; and his nephew Andy Kriese.
