With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Inger Johannesen of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Inger farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Inger is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Mykletvet and Magrette Mykletve; her husband Geirmund; and her children, Terje and Lisbeth.

She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Johannesen (Deborah) of Poplar Bluff and Peter Johannesen (Joyce) of Poplar Bluff. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
