She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Sinks and Fannie Sinks (Whitt); her husband Jack Downing; her children, Patricia Ice, Jamie "Buckwheat" Downing, Julie Russell and Jerry Downing; and her siblings, Ira Lee Sinks, Ted Sinks, Jack Sinks, Thea Smith, Mary Jo Bailey, Wilma Hesselrode and Brenda Sinks.

She is survived by: her children, Jack "Buzz" Downing (Linda) and Linda Downing Brown; her siblings, Dennis Sinks, Dale Sinks (Lois) and Helen Chittendon; and her son-in-law Mark Russell. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
