He is survived by: his wife Marie Hicks; his children, Denny "Denk" Hicks, David Hicks, Kenneth Hicks and Debra Black; and his siblings, Ruth Ward, Hazel Coleman, Patricia Diane Whitesell, Marion Hicks and James Hicks. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
