With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Allen Sanders of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kenneth Allen Sanders to pay them a last tribute.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kenneth Allen leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Kenneth Allen may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie T. Sanders Sr. and Thelma F. Sanders (Avance). He is survived by: his wife Sherry Robichaud-Sanders; his brothers, Louie T. Sanders Jr. (Linda) and Robert W. Sanders (Ann); his cousin Steve Sanders; and his stepdaughter Erin Robichaud. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri.

“My deepest sympathies to Sherry and the entire Sanders family. Grateful that I was able to call Ken and chat just a few weeks ago. In true Ken fashion it was necessary to call his wife Sherry first as it was typically impossible to get Ken to answer either of his 2 cell phones! I was blessed to have worked very closely with Ken at US Army INSCOM for nearly 20 years. He was a dear friend. Truly one of a kind. Also met his brother Tom at Ken's wedding that was officiated by Pierre Turner and at Ken's retirement when Clyde Harthcock allowed me to "roast" Ken. That was great fun. Plus, I believe I served with his brother Bob in 1st IDF in Goeppingen when I was the G-2 and Bob was in the 299th Support Battalion at some point during 1983-1986. Rest in Peace my buddy Ken!”
