With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Tibbs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on July 19, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arley Dee Barker and Artie May Barker (Brayton); and her siblings, William Barker, Evelyn Burgin and Dorothy Patterson.
She is survived by: her husband John Earl Tibbs; her children, Janice Miller (Gary) of Poplar Bluff and Gregory Tibbs (Jolanda) of Creal Springs, Illinois; her siblings, Arley Barker (Lois) of Lohrville, Eugene Barker (Denise) of Poplar Bluff, Kenneth R. Barker of Poplar Bluff, Art Barker (Linda) of Morris, IL, Norma Jean Chatman of Winter Haven, FL and Sue Gilbert (Jimmy) of Poplar Bluff; and her caregiver Evelyn Hackman. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
