He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Kiefer and Mamie Kiefer (Lewis); his wife Peggy Lou Green; his daughter Jeannie McDowell; and his great grandchildren, Hayden and Jack Kiefer.
He is survived by: his children, Doris Hastings (James), Danny Kiefer (Valerie), Dennis Kiefer (Diane) and David Kiefer (Jane); and his brother Roscoe Kiefer. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
