He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Burkhart (Christal), Sheila Kleinschmidt (Cory), Sarah Burkhart (Ben Hays) and Joseph Burkhart; his grandchildren, Martin (Tabitha), Holly (Mitchell), Gavyn (Madison), Kent (Natalie), Cole (Hailey), Daniel, Jullian, Caitlin, Anna and Lexi; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Ariel, Kamdyn, Zaiden, Avery and Theodore; his siblings, Edna Geter, Mary Ellen Anderson, Barbara Rinabarger, Judy Powell (Bobby), Thelma Jean Allen (Jim), Glen Burkhart and Jimmy Burkhart; and his siblings-in-law, Marvene Burkhart, Jody Burkhart, Carolyn Burkhart, Liz Burkhart and Kenny Jameson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home (701 Vine St, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sparkman Cemetery (1901 N Main St, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901).
