Shirley Phelps Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2025, at the age of 88, Shirley Phelps of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Phelps to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Whitmer and Bertha Whitmer; her grandparents, Arthur and Cora Jaco; her husband Thomas Phelps; her daughter Geneva Hastings; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Phelps; and her sisters, Cora Pennington and Betty Murray.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Matthews of Poplar Bluff, Floyd Phelps of Jackson and Tommy (Amber Hastings); her grandchildren, Mandy Phelps Leek, Shelby Hastings and Carter Hastings of Spring, TX; her great grandchildren, Kinly and Alli Leek of Jackson; and her aunt Julia Pennington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
