He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Arthur Kurz and Iris Ellen Kurz (Edwards); his wife Anna Lee Marler Kurz; his sister Mary Ann Kurz; and his siblings-in-law, James Dunlap and Nancy Kurz.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Rainy Kay Emmons, Lauren Mae Cassinger, Freddy Allen Emmons, Jacob Alan Rich, Cole Lane Emmons, Sarah Darline Rich, Trystan Kyle Kurz and Charly Sue Godwin; his great grandchildren, Iris, Meadow, Elliot, Duke, Ember and Juniper; and his siblings, Lenora Dunlap, Jeannie Smith (Jim), Cleve Kurz (Judy) and Dennis Kurz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
