He is survived by : his wife Jo Ann (Emily); his siblings, Danny Portell, Gary Portell (Janet), Nona Thebeau (Lynn), Peggy Turnbough (Mark) and Debbie Holt; his in-laws, Sharon Minx (Wayne), Sydney Emily, Jeffrey Emily (Vickie) and Scott Emily; and his nephew Brad Minx. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, friends may send memorials to Southeast Missouri.
