He was predeceased by : his parents, Leona Dement (Casey) and Daniel Dement; his siblings, Lucille Goodman, Thelma McNail, Rose Forshee, Elmo Dement, Glen Dement, Stanley Elwood Dement, Harold Dement and Wayne Dement; and his grandsons, Jason and Trey.

He is survived by : his children, Barbie Barton of Centerville, MO, Lori Williams-Rice (Jeff) of Nobelsville, IN, Missy Coleman (Jack) of Cadet, MO, Dan Dement (Becky) of Ellington, MO, Tim Dement (Mary) of Barboo, WI and Aaron Dement of Centerville, MO.; his sisters, Velma Bowles of Potosi, MO and Norma Beuhler of Fredericktown, MO; his grandchildren, Matthew, Andrea, Justin, Janell, Erica, Chad, Christopher, Devan, Ryan and Cody; his great grandchildren, Bryce, Weston, Hana, Gavinn, Calvin, Lucas, Hadley, Ryder, Danny, Thomas, Audrey, Devan Jr. and Barrett; and his great great grandchild Hazel Grace.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (105 Clark St, Potosi, MO 63664).
