He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Deibel and Hazel Deibel (Kuppersmith); the mother of his children Freda Deibel (Sullivan); his son-in-law Daniel Lowery; his stepchildren, Louis Raymond Hamann and Victoria Marie Howd; and his siblings, Charles "Bud", Hazel "Sally" and Shirley.
He is survived by: his children, Henry "Ike" Deibel (Jan) and Pamela Lowery; his grandchildren, Eric Lowery (Margo), Kevin Lowery (Tara), Danielle Lowery, Henry Deibel (Joshua) and Keith Deibel; his stepchildren, William Whitacre (Ruth) and Patricia Little (John); and his siblings, Robert, Patricia and Fredia "Lulu". He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
