He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosie Bell Shivers (Lamkey) and Archie Veach Shivers; his siblings, Junior Shivers and Nola Conway; his siblings-in-law, Blanche Young, Mary Neff, Lenora Wisdom, Bernace Bouse, Donald Conway, Charles Hammock, George Bouse, Stanley "Bug" Carpenter, Fuz McEntire, Jerry Young, Reynolds Neff and Traffie Wisdom; and his grandson Eric Shivers.
He is survived by: his wife Doshia Shivers (Bouse); his children, Rosemary Smith (Steve), Diana Price (Larry Pfeil), Junior Shivers and Reynold Shivers; his siblings, Imogene West and Edward Shivers (Sue); his sisters-in-law, Edith McEntire and Essie Carpenter; and his grandchildren, Kristina, Wendy, Stephen, Leo, Jr., Michael, Justin, Nicole, Jammie, Megan, Jessica, Little Eddie, Kayla and Connor.
