She was predeceased by: her parents, Cluster L. Black and Ettie Black (Barton); her husband Robert "Bob" Dement; her siblings, Gertie, Alice, Arles, Cleo, Phyllis, Stacy, Jaydee, Oscar and Norman; and her parents-in-law, Elmer and Sally Dement.

She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Owen; her grandchildren, Amy Greif (Robert), Suzanne Glaze (Justin) and Michael Owen (Jodi); and her great grandchildren, Emily Rose, Madison Faye, Evan, Molly, Brady Robert and Tanner.
