He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert H. Marler and Mabel Marler (Carter); his wife Joeanne Marler; his siblings, Dorothy Mercer, Faith Marler, Robert Marler and Lynn Marler; his parents-in-law, Orville and Ann Silvey; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Warden, Ben Emily, Frank Silvey and Faye Marler.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn DeClue (Eric); his grandsons, Dillian DeClue and Wayland DeClue (Ashli); his great grandchildren, Thatcher, Miran, Jamey, Rosalie, Archer and June; his siblings, Judy Warden, Carol Emily and Ronald Marler (Ronda); and his in-laws, Marvin Mercer (Elaine), Edith Marler and Rosemary Skaggs (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeClue Funeral Home (301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (10129 Manders Rd, Potosi, MO 63664).
