He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Lorene Shandrew; his children, Penny Pollard-McKelroy (J. W. "Mac") of Arvada, CO and Joe Don Pollard (Kineta Keith) of Princeton, MO; and his sister Thelma Petty (Ames) of Clio, IA..
