He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Whipple and Florence Francis Rouse (Gerlich); and his siblings, Chet, Ray, Mike, Mary, Betty, Annie and Jeanne.

He is survived by : his wife Jo; his children, Jim Rouse of Leon Iowa, Terry Rouse (Renee) of Osborn, Joann Moore (Mike) and Judy Hamilton (Jerry) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Josh, Jolene, Jared, Tracie, Nick, Stacie, Stephanie, Michelle, Jason, Jeremy, Jill and Justin; and his siblings, Tom and Gladys Hurtis. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
