We announce the death of Dannie Byrd of Purdy, Missouri, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 78. Dannie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Byrd and Rosalee Byrd (Pennel); his daughter Vicki Byrd; his sisters, Sheryl Byrd and Janis Byrd; and his grandparents, Leon and Marjorie Pennel.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Terry; his daughters, Misty Lane (Sam) of Monett, Renee Veith (Ronnie) of Purdy and Rhonda Schilly of Purdy; his grandchildren, Ryan Veith (Jessica), Riley Veith (Kara), Reese Veith, Kobe Gates (Karsyn), Megan Terry (Cameron), Morgan Daniel (K. K.), Corey Lane and Ryan Lane (Alicia); his great grandchildren, Haisley, Hadley, Hensley, Jameson, Neva, Renley, Barrett of Lowen, CJ, Charlie Sue, Asher, Ace, Adalyn and Arya; his sister Teresa Malone of Mt. Vernon, MO.; Jerry Nickle.
