He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle "Slim" Hayes and Ruby Ellis Hayes; his sister Lois Hayes; his brother-in-law Charles Rhinehart; his grandson Jordan Rose; and his great grandchildren, Noah Chapman and Emmett Chapman.
He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Henderson; his children, Kelly Hayes (Judy), Mike Hayes (Kristina), Melinda Chapman (Doug) and Laura Rose (Brian); his grandchildren, Brian Lyons (Margaret), Andy Hayes, Anna McPherson (Jon), Josh Rose (Amber), Jeremy Rose, Chase Chapman (Adrianna), Chad Chapman (Michelle), Chance Chapman (Rachelle), Chane Chapman (Katie), Brittany Hayes and Alli Jo Hayes; and his siblings, Lewis Hayes (Linda) of Springfield, MO and Lavetta Rhinehart of St. Genevieve, MO. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
