It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Gene Buttry of Puxico, Missouri, who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Buttry and Mildred Vianna Obards; and his siblings, Elmer Buttry (Bill) and Joyce Pratt (Buttry). He is survived by: his wife Syble Cookson; his daughters, Angela Newell (John) of Bloomfield and Andrea Dodge (Larry) of Jackson; his brother Tom Buttry (Flora) of O'Fallon; his grandchildren, Sarah Stearns (Ben) of Jackson, Aaron Dodge (Brooke) of Cape Girardeau, Nathan Newell (Rylee) of Bloomfield, Levi Dodge of Jackson and John Dodge of Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Hazel and Bonnie Stearns of Jackson.
