He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Self and Nettie Self (Waters); his parents-in-law, Andrew and Ada Bader; his sisters, Mary Etta Tipton and Ruth Robertson; his siblings-in-law, Pam, Brenda Bader, Joe Vanderfeltz, Craig Watts, Ed Brashler and Alfred McMeans; his niece Chelsea Hill; and his nephews, Eric Bader and Joshua Bader.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Rose Bader of Glennonville; his children, Angela Byrne (Chris), Jamie Dicken (Bobby) and Dalton; his granddaughters, Olivia, Paige and Mallory; and his sisters, Joan McMeans and Judy Brashler.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Landess Funeral Home (1213 Allen Rd, Campbell, MO 63933). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at the St. Teresa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post #153, in Poplar Bluff Missouri or to St. Teresa Catholic School in Glennonville, Missouri.
