He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Anton Sr. and Annaka Janes (Safar); his wife Sara Janes (Magruder); his sons, Joseph Anton "Tony" Janes III and Mike Janes; his grandson Jamie Ferrill; and his sister Lillie Breckenridge.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Janes of Qulin, MO, Ron and Sherry Janes of Poplar Bluff, MO; his stepdaughter Sandy Sheridan (Kevin) of Fairview Heights, IL; and his grandchildren, Joe Janes, IV, Nicci Wangerin, Randy Janes, Rick Janes, Tabitha Thomas, Drew Janes, Scott Janes, Dylan Janes, Shelby Talburt and Ashley Maddock. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakes Nutrition Center in Qulin, Qulin Lions Club, or Qulin Volunteer Fire Department.
