He was predeceased by: his father Roy George Muncy. He is survived by: his mother Vida Aliene Muncy of Erie; his children, Jennifer Parnell of Springfield, Michael Muncy Jr. of Neosho, Travis Phillips of Joplin, Kimberley Phillips of Joplin and James Sumpter of Galena, Kansas.; his sister Karen Boulanger of Erie; his niece Destiny Dick of Bixby; and his nephew Brian Muncy of Jasper, Missouri.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A reception will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home (113 S Main St, Erie, KS 66733). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
