She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Gray and Elener Wright; and her sisters, Emma Gray, Frances Ross, Betty Johnson and Rose Gray.

She is survived by: her husband Erly B. Polk; her sons, Erly D. Polk and Reginald "Reggie" Polk (LaRae); her siblings, Dennis Gray, Lester Gray (Faye), Nellie Wesley and Marcie Simmons (Tim); and her grandchildren, Jerry Polk (Missy), Ashley Polk and Erly "EJ" Polk. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
