Dixie G. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie G. Smith of Raymore, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Dixie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dixie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Morrison and Lorena Morrison; and her son Gary Allen Peters. She is survived by: her husband Gary Smith; her son Steve Peters (Marie); her grandchildren, Daniel, Emily and Elias Peters; her sisters, Sharon Benn and Bonnie Gash (Bob); and her stepdaughter Andrea Benoit (Andrew).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to: the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation OR the American Lung Association.
