With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Jane Yount (Raymore, Missouri), who passed away on November 23, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Karen Jane departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Karen Jane. Though Karen Jane may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Herbert and Elsie Lucille Smith (Higdon); and her husband Bennie Yount. She is survived by: her children, Ernest Yount (Windy) of Papillion, NE, Kenneth Yount (Carri) of Bella Vista, AR, Anita Detherow (Don) of Ozark, MO and Philip Yount (Beth) of Republic, MO. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Raymore Christian Church (500 Peace Dr, Raymore, MO 64083).
