He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leo, Richard, George, Dan, May Pat, Frances, Susie, Rose, Teresa, Sara, Diane and Gerald; and his sister-in-law Darlene Holcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, Christine Neely (Sean), Paul O'Brien (Amy) and Jennifer Johnson (Eric); his brother Larry O'Brien (Gloria); his grandchildren, Jenny, Jamie Neely, Megan O'Brien-Wright (Tyler), Paul Michael O'Brien (Nicole), Michele O'Brien, Mason O'Brien, Joshua Payton, Ashton and Josephine Null; his great grandchildren, Noah, Liam Wright and Knox Skrip; his brother Thomas; and his sister-in-law Linda Holcomb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Sabina Catholic Church (700 Trevis Ave, Belton, MO 64012). Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
