He was predeceased by: his parents, Isadore Birnbaum and Minnie Klugman; his stepfather Joe Klugman; his brothers, Melvin Birnbaum and Leibert Birnbaum; his sister-in-law Miriam Birnbaum; and his son-in-law Gary Friedman.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Bruce (Jeanette) and Patti; his grandchildren, Melissa Friedman and Bradley Friedman (Taly); and his great grandchildren, Emmett Friedman and Remy Friedman.
