He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Brown and Jimmie Lee Brown; and his granddaughter Tricia Thomas. He is survived by: his son Jimmy L. Brown, Jr.; his grandson Vincent Murphy; his wife Betty Brown; his children, William Brown, Gloria Brown, Janice Murphy, Veronda Brown-Riley (Anthony), LaShawn Peterson (Mike) and Barbara Harris; and his siblings, Allen Brown, Leon Brown, Dorothy Jones and Helen Hardiman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oasis Church (11500 E 53rd St, Raytown, MO 64133). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
