With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Schell (Raytown, Missouri), born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on January 2, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Schell (Isaac); his parents, John E. Schell and Katherine Schell (Fernandes); and his brother David Schell. He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Schell (Stacey) and Jennifer Schell; his grandchildren, Adeline, Jackson and Gideon Schell; Eric and Kara Schell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Graceway Church (5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Raytown, MO 64133). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators (wycliffe.org), a cause close to John's heart and reflective of his passion for sharing Scripture.
