He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Faust and Elizabeth Faust; and his brother John "Nick" Faust. He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Goebel); his children, Janice Selck (Christopher), Marnie Velazquez, Joseph Faust (Andrea), Christine Chatwin (Hyrum) and Nick Faust (Caty); his grandchildren, Michael (Meggie), Rachael (Jake), Amanda (Justin), Scott (Debbie), Brandon, Tyler (Rannon), Matthew and Jack; and his siblings, Steve Faust, Jerry Faust and Cheryl Lammlein.
Joe chose to selflessly donate his body to science to further Parkinson's research. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation – Heartland in his memory.
