She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Ashby Barbee and Margaret Agnes Barbee; her husband Lawrence William Hamtil; and her daughter Angelita Barbee Hamtil. She is survived by: her children, Peggy, Sean Hamtil (Donis), Maureen Cleary (Jim), Heather Hamtil, Bridget Miller (Brad), Amie Hamtil, Brendan Hamtil (Maria), Therese Talarico (Mike), Laura Estudillo (Bobby) and Lawrence Hamtil (Renata). She is also survived by grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGilley State Line Chapel (12301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145). A requiem service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (3106 Flora Ave, Kansas City, MO 64109). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery (7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery (7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138).
