It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanita Mae Johnson in Reeds, Missouri, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ressie Atteberry (Williams) and Elva Atteberry; her husband Morris Johnson; her children, Gary Wayne Smith, William Harold Johnson, Rhonda Lynn Johnson and Debra Kay Harris; and her siblings, Cecil Atteberry, Jim Atteberry, Mildred Hack and Florence Poindexter.

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Lea McNary of Reeds, MO. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
