It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Johnson of Republic, Missouri, who passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James L. Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Johnson and Stella Johnson (Sparkman); and his siblings, Kenneth Johnson and Joyce Johnson. He is survived by: his son Danny Johnson (Debbie); his granddaughter Ashley Jones (Cody); his great grandchildren, Arlie and Iyden Jones; and his brother Donnie Johnson (Ladda). He is also survived by other extended family and countless friends.
