He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Carper and Naomi Carper (Wainscott); and his siblings, Frank Carper, Gracie Engles, John Carper, Gloria Lemon and Samuel Joseph Carper.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stewart; his children, Kristy Dollens, Sam Carper (Kathy), Karen Doss (Larry) and Fred Carper (Amanda); and his siblings, Paul Carper, Tim Carper (Cheryl) and Susie Patterson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends.
