He was predeceased by: his parents, John Snook and Blanche Snook (Haddock); his wife Bertha Nickle; and his brother Bill Snook. He is survived by: his children, John Robert Snook (Rebecca), Aaron Vincent Snook (Marla), Kathleen Jo Irvin (Gary) and Michelle Ann Snook (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Robert Snook (Ashley), Raelynn Nichols, Jarrod Snook (Brooke), Jay Snook (Cierra), Kalee Hufferd (Myles), Ryan Edgar (Becca), Rhonda Brantley (Rafael), Gary Trigg Irvin, Susan Miller, Shelli Chainey-Hancock, James Robinson and Aimee Irvin.
