We are sad to announce that, on April 17, 2026, at the age of 81, Steve Schaetzel of Republic, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Charles Schaetzel and Helen Martha Peterson Schaetzel; and his sister Claudia Essma. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Byard; his children, Shane Schaetzel (Penny) of Republic, MO, Jennifer Crowley (Stephen) of Republic, MO and Rachel Steele (Joshua) of Pleasant Hope, MO; his sister Joan; and his grandchildren, Michael, Lauren Schaetzel, Zachary Crowley (Piper), Clayton Crowley (Emma), Jaden, Josie Crowley, Jaxon, Castle and Braddock Steele.
