He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jay Cooper and Lois Cooper (Houston). He is survived by: his wife Linda Lewis; and his children, J. R. Cooper, William J. Cooper, Rachel Wheeler and Elizabeth Underwood. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
