Though Barbara Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Swafford; her sister Judith L Fowler; and her parents, James C. Stone and Helen Stone (Getcher). She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Dalton (John), Kim Ray and Jamie Tweedie (Sam). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home (507 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church or Shirkey Hospice.
