She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl A. O'Brien and Mary Jane O'Brien (Shupe); her former husband Donald Ray Downing of Horton, KS; her spouse Lendall Dean Wall of Richmond; and her brothers, Fane Glen O'Brien (Beverly) and Earl Vanderslice.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Earl Downing of Oak Grove and Deborah Tompkins of Richmond; her daughter-in-law Jamie Gillespie of Independence; and her grandchildren, Chad Fouts (Melissa), James Fouts (Kristen), Richard Tompkins (Dolores), Marissa Orender (Joseph) and Christine Davis (Jeff). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bethany Church of the Brethren.
