We announce the death of Janice Elizabeth Hawkins of Richmond, Missouri, who passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 85. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Guy and Anna May King; her husband Edward Allen Hawkins of Richmond, Missouri.; and her grandchildren, Luke Chowning and Elizabeth Chowning.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberley Bruns (Darrick) of Platte City and Julie Chowning (Mike) of Richmond, Missouri; her grandchildren, Brittany Fitzgerald (Justin), Seth Bruns, Emily Chowning, Caleb Chowning (Alazé) and Lyndsey Church (Adrian); her great grandchildren, Rowan, Kamrynn, Beckham, Honesti, Alli and Micah Luke; and her sisters, Margaret Burton and Charlene Kemple. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Richmond First Baptist Church or to support research for Parkinson's Disease by donating to give.michaeljfox.org.
