He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen E. Norris and Elsie Mae Norris (Swafford); his former wives, Ada Pearl Armstrong of Richmond and Mary Ellen Bauer of Versailles; his wife Nancy Lee Shockley (Meeker) of Richmond; his daughter Tina Marie Norris; and his sister Betty Jean Norris.
He is survived by: his children, John William Norris (Emily) of Rayville, Brenda Ellen Richardson (Jim) of Richmond and Patty Estes (Dennis) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Misty Spears (Karriem), Jason Richardson, Katie Hogan (Eric), Simon Estes (Michelle), Colene Zeeman (Zach), Sara Smith and Haley Smith; and his sister Lora Francis McGaugh of Richmond. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Eagleton Center in Richmond.
