He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marvin and Winona Mildred Nelson (McGinnis); his wife Josephine Ann "JoAnn" Wheeler; his siblings, George, Burt, Paul and Deanna Nelson; his stepgrandson Caleb Osborne; and his stepchildren, Clifford Schauf and Carol Schaul Helms.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Vincent Killbreath, Charis Osborne and Nicole Nelson; his grandchildren, Collette Green (Preston), Aaron Lancaster and Jacob Lancaster; his great grandchildren, Clark Green, Elliott Green, Arthur Green and Phoebe Green; his stepgrandson Josh Osborne; his stepchildren, Scott Johnson (Lori), Steve Johnson (Jessica), Darrell Schauf, Mikecal Schauf, Guylene Ferrin, Angie Ladd (Mike), Holly Johnson and Danna Johnson; and his siblings, Jim Nelson, Steve Nelson, J. M. Nelson (Carol), Nadine Horn and Ramona Saavalainen (Jari). He is also survived by 14 step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Henreitta Baptist Church.
