It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Layton Tarr of Richmond, Missouri, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Steven Layton Tarr to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Tarr (Stigall) and Forrest Tarr; and his grandsons, Owen Pearson and Henry Pearson. He is survived by: his wife Pam Tarr; his children, Scott Tarr (Elizabeth), Brian Tarr (Lindy) and Roxanne Pearson (David); his grandchildren, Nicolas Lamb, Jared Tarr, Aidan Churchwell, Harlea Brill (Jordan), Jordyn Tarr, Macy Tarr, Cohen Pearson and Reid Pearson; his brothers, Cliffton Tarr (Sandy) and David Tarr (Donna); and his brothers-in-law, Buddy Clevenger (Sharon) and Wayne Clevenger (Terri). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home (108 S Pine St, Norborne, MO 64668). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Braymer (201 MO-116, Braymer, MO 64624). A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery.
