Steven will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Steven by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Steven is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Steven’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paris Wayne and Norma Katherine Smith (Cox); and his sisters, Sheri Palmerin and Barbara Jordan. He is survived by: his sons, Justin Wayne Smith of Richmond and Nathan Taylor Smith (Lindsey) of Richmond; his grandson Jack Wayne Smith; and his sister Nancy Durr of Richmond. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home (507 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085).
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
