With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Roy Murtaugh of Richmond, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Murtaugh and Mae Murtaugh (Benscoter); his son John Murtaugh; and his siblings, Timothy Murtaugh and Margie Janovich.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bostwick; his children, Randy Murtaugh of Elliott, IA and Michelle Thompson (Les) of Richmond, MO; his grandchildren, Samara (Cha), Nicole, Stormy, Stephanie (Patrick), Krissy, Christopher (Taylor), Tony, Amanda (Josh), Jessie, Kobe (Olivia), Cheyenne and Gracie; his great grandchildren, Brenden, Elijah, Coty, Gauge, Roy, Olivia, Cami, Peyton, Claire, Saylor, Chloe and Perri; and his siblings, Nancy Karrick, Jerry Murtaugh, Terry Murtaugh, Mary Sneed, Teresa Paulson, Joe Murtaugh and Judy Burley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Marilyn Murtaugh in care of the funeral home.
