She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. "Jim" Buthe and Ruby G. Buthe (Wilson); her husband Robert E. "Bob" Swafford of Richmond; her son Paul Mark Swafford; and her brothers, Ronnie R. Buthe and J. Wilson Buthe.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary L. Swafford (Tammy) of St. Croix, U. S and J. Rob Swafford (Courtney) of Richmond; and her grandchildren, Calvin Gibbs Swafford (Amanda) of Abilene and Claire Jameson Swafford of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by three nieces, five great-nephews; several great great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Richmond United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
