He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hinkle and Etta Miinch Hinkle; and his siblings, Cletus Hinkle, John Hinkle and Zora Marie Rothermich.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Robert Hinkle Jr. of Jackson, Douglas Hinkle (Janie) of Chaffee and Lisa Burger (Brian) of Jackson; his stepson Dennis Mills (Sandi) of Scott City; and his grandchildren, Ashley Diebold, Derek Miller, Jordan Anderson, Andrew Hinkle, Garrett Mills, Maranda Mills, Douglas Hinkle Jr., Valerie Hinkle, Laura Nash and Steven Menz. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
